Springing and Damping of Truck Cabin
Kroupa, Ondřej ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
This Diploma Theses, which can be included in the field of vehicle dynamics, explores the effect of suspension and damping of truck cabs for the safe ride and comfort. As the driver spends many hours in their vehicle, comfort is the most essential criterion. That is why we seek possible improvements which are offered by the sprung cab. The research part firstly analyses the individual elements of suspension and damping. The following chapter is devoted to the systems which are used nowadays in the construction of cabin suspension. Next there is the introduction to the theoretical production of a simplified computational model as well as the presentation of the possible evaluation of the achieved results. The following practical part deals with the actual shaping of the computational model in the Adams View software, which is based on a real vehicle, and was lent at the faculty. The model is then verified and compared with the existing state and the cab mounting concepts are tested on it. The effects of cab parameters on driving comfort and safe riding were tested on it as well. The last part focuses on the forming of the special Dakar computational model, on which optimization was performed according to the findings discussed in the previous chapter. Also, the appropriate configurations to the real-life testing were designed.
Deriving and Application of Analytical Design of Hammerspring in Firearms
Vobejda, Radek ; Polzer, Stanislav (referee) ; Slažanský, Martin (advisor)
The thesis deals with inference of analytic relations for calculation of pressure helical coil spring and considerates usage possibilities of simplified relations. In the thesis there is introduced analytic computation of slightly curvatured rod theory completed by finite element method calculations. The thesis describes two springs of firearm, which weren’t able to achieve required functionality. After this there was created a plan of concept particular spring on the base of derivated relations, which should be able to meet operative conditions.
Pre-tensioning device for the spring of the lock
Majer, Tomáš ; Hloušek, David (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the general definition of automotive lock and the problems associated with this concept. It also deals with the construction, testing and assembly of the lock. The construction part deals with the design of a pre-tensioning device which should be able to preload a car lock spring
Active systems of car chassis
Pilčík, Adam ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Zháňal, Lubor (advisor)
This work elaboration basic survey and historical development active systems pf car chassis. Focus on modern conception and try valorize positive and negative single solving. Focus on modern conception and try valorize print and negative single solving.
Assessment of characteristic of a helical conus-shaped spring under compression
Loveček, Libor ; Žák, Stanislav (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
The presented bachelor thesis pursue the behaviour of coiled conical pressure spring while loaded. Thesis includes analytical calculation in accordace to the slighty curvatured rod theory. Calculation is designed for a specific coiled conical spring in a MAPLE environment. The results are compared with data acquired while experimenting with the spring.
Spring and Damper Tester
Šulák, Jakub ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
This work deals with the springs and dampers questions. It focuses on their classification, characteristics and testing. The main part of this thesis describes the design and sizing dimensions of machine for measuring characteristics of automotive springs and conceptual design of machine for detection characteristics of hydraulic shock absorbers.
Using brushless d.c. motor to drive servo-unit with safety function
Rudolf, Ladislav ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Prajzner, Václav (advisor)
In this work, a proposal for BLDC motor control, which will be used as a drive linear actuator. Control with microcontroller focuses mainly aspects such as motor mode, regenerative mode, measuring rotor position sensors and measuring the motor current, which corresponds to the moment. The result of the work is focused on upgrading the existing Honeywell actuator, where the processor-controlled BLDC motor to replace the existing system and take over the actuator working function and emergency function.
Device for Spring Dismount and for Spring Characteristics Measurement
Mazura, František ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
The presented master’s thesis is focused on the design of device for spring dismount from shock absorber and measuring of its spring characteristic. Then is the thesis focused on the design of device for measuring the spring characteristic of anti-roll and torsion bars. The introductory part of the thesis describes the basic distribution of springs and their properties and also design variants of wheel suspensions. Next part introduces devices already available on the market. The following sections aim to the design of stated devices itself, i.e. the description of their parts and functions, the definition of output parameters and stress-strain analysis. Both designs, including the analyses and technical drawings, were created in Autodesk Inventor software.
Developments of Car Drive Train
Macháček, Kamil ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with modern solutions of automotive start-up clutches. It describes the most widely used systems in contemporary cars, first of all fiction diaphragm clutch. Next it deals with lamellar, centrifugal and hydrodynamic clutches.
The Use of Inerter in Vehicle Design
Lanzendörfer, Tomáš ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the inerter application in vehicle’s suspension. The aim was to perform a theoretical analysis of its features, to compare its construction layouts, to create a multibody model of the car’s suspension and to analyse inerter’s effects while performing different driving manoeuvres. All analyses were performed by MSC Adams View software with a little support from Matlab. The quality of ride comfort and accessible traction force were increased by the inerter almost in every case, and dynamic load of the suspension was also decreased in some cases. The inerter is a device with high potential, but with high purchase costs as well, so further development and practical research is necessary.
